A COURSE ON INDIVIDUATION
Becoming who you already are
Nine short modules on individuation: the lifelong work of becoming a whole person.
What this course is
Carl Jung used the word individuation for the lifelong process of becoming a whole person: conscious of more of who you are, and in living relationship with something larger than your everyday self. This course follows the map drawn by the Jungian analyst Edward Edinger in Ego and Archetype.
You don't need to have read Jung, and you don't need any background in psychology. Each module pairs a short presentation with a printable workbook, so the ideas land in your own life rather than staying abstract.
Learn
Watch the module: one idea, one story, one image to carry with you.
Reflect
Open the workbook and write, slowly and honestly.
Return
Live with it for a week. Notice dreams, reactions and coincidences.
A note on care. This program is educational and reflective. It is not therapy and does not replace work with a qualified analyst or mental health professional. If you have a history of psychosis, dissociation, bipolar disorder or serious unresolved trauma, or if you are in crisis or recently bereaved, please approach active imagination only with professional support.
Each workbook includes a support page, and the support page lists crisis lines and how to find an analyst.
The nine modules
One module a week is plenty. Take them in order; each builds on the last.
