SUPPORT
When you need more support
Inner work can stir up strong feelings and old memories. That is a natural part of the process, and it deserves care. Edinger observed that our connection to the deeper self is often restored through being genuinely accepted by another person. We are not meant to do this alone.
This program is educational and reflective. It is not therapy and does not replace work with a qualified analyst or mental health professional. If you have a history of psychosis, dissociation, bipolar disorder or serious unresolved trauma, or if you are in crisis or recently bereaved, please approach active imagination only with professional support.
This course is a companion for reflection. It is not therapy and not a substitute for professional support.
Please reach out if you notice
- Despair or emptiness that doesn't lift
- Feeling cut off from reality or from the people around you
- Thoughts of harming yourself
- Trouble sleeping, or a sense that ordinary life is less real than your inner world
- Feeling flooded or frightened by an image you can't shake
- Feeling chosen or special in a grandiose way
The response to any of these is the same: stop the practice, ground yourself, and talk to someone.
